Quality as a board game

Article Abstract:

A joint survey was conducted to clarify quality-related issues and the relationships of corporate management and the board of directors. The survey indicated that management is more likely to deal with quality concerns than the board of directors. There is also minimal board discussions on quality-related topics. The boards also usually act on quality concerns after the damage has been done rather than in the planning stage. Both the management and the boards, however, noted the quality improvement of US products.
