Redefining a process in 14 steps

Article Abstract:

Process improvement focuses on the changes that an organization has to adopt and the extent to which such changes are needed to be effective. The approach begins by ensuring that a process has been selected and leaders are willing to support the improvements that will be undertaken. Logical steps based on accepted quality improvement methods can be pursued once the process for improvement has been identified and the people who would work in the project have been selected. The redefinition variables required include process-scope description and list of performance measures.

Implementing internal quality improvement with the house of quality

Article Abstract:

The House of Quality tool can provide solutions to the basic problems of establishing and prolonging bonds between suppliers and customers within an organization. Since it is relatively easy to apply, special skills are unnecessary. Its initial employment requires a flowchart that will delineate the relationship between the customers and suppliers. Once the different levels of the relationship is identified, introduction of the program becomes easy. The organization can then adopt different approaches suitable to its needs.

What to do when all of your company's experts have been downsized

Article Abstract:

Downsized companies face the challenge of hiring consultants whose expertise can help meet organizational needs. The selection process would require a thorough evaluation of potential consultants' qualifications to determine strong areas that would be beneficial to the organization. It is also important to have a clear understanding of the abilities that outside consultants have in satisfying their clients. Organizations need to guarantee the commitment of consultants to projects that would require their expertise.
