Redesign key to make best use of higher strengths

Article Abstract:

The use of high strength steels could bring the weight of the fabrication to half, with yield stresses up to four or more times than those of mild steel by adopting new design and manufacturing methods in order to achieve optimum results. To ensure best of results, it is usually necessary to redesign parts to make best use of material properties and it is also likely to be desirable to change fabrication methods.

Rotating rollers steer conveyor goods

Article Abstract:

Tilted wheels are extremely important for a new roller conveyor belt, which can be utilized to steer items that pass over it. Steering can be achieved by turning around the assemblies that hold a line of tilted wheel hubs.
