Show me the money!

Article Abstract:

The innovative nature of UK engineering is being seriously endangered by the consistent bullying tactics of large firms towards smaller, cash-dependent companies. Article Abstract:

Figures from the Confederation of British Industry for third quarter 1998 show the fastest fall in export orders since 1986, with 51% of the 1,013 companies participating in the survey feeling less confident about the business climate than previously. Many managers say the blame lies with the government's decision to hand over control of interest rates to the Bank of England.
