Software introductions: network program connects team members

Article Abstract:

CFM Inc. has released a network version of its TeamFlow 4 project management software. The software is available for Windows 3.1 or later versions and Macintosh System 7 or later versions. It allows organizational charting, Gantt charting, flowcharting and document management. It runs on a system with a minimum of 386 processor, four MB RAM and two MB of hard-disk space.

DOE software helps K2 design cap skis

Article Abstract:

K2 Corp.'s production scrap rate rose when it started producing cap skis, which have rounded instead of square edges. K2 used Stat-Ease Inc.'s Design-Ease, a design-of-experiments software, to simultaneously identify all factors causing production problems. The software eliminated dimples, reduced delamination and scrap rates and streamlined production processes.
