Steel wire cable trays

Article Abstract:

The ability to reduce the cost of materials and the time taken to install electric systems proves one's mettle in electrical contracting industry. The new installation methods introduced into the industry following the transition of steel wire cable trays from a mere data cabling containment method to an all-purpose power, data, bms, security and modular wiring support system, and the environmental and economic considerations associated with the new methods are evaluated.

Environmental concerns

Article Abstract:

Factors like humidity, moisture, corrosion, temperature extremes, vibration and electromagnetic interference can pose problems for standard cabling at difficult environments like industrial, medical, marine or construction sites. Using a fibre optic system is a solution to the problem. Contamination of fibre optic connectors can degrade performance which can be avoided by carrying out the installation work in a clean environment and by using protective enclosures.
