Stoner: built on a strong foundation

Article Abstract:

The Pennsylvania-based Stoner Inc. has reached its pinnacle of success under the leadership of Paul Stoner followed by his grandson Robert Ecklin Jr., who has taken the responsibility of continuing the business after the death of the former. The evolution of the company as one of the leading suppliers of lubrication and cleaning agents for the automotive industry and the business excellence criteria adpoted to achieve sales growth of 400% and earn the 2003 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award are reviewed.

AQP awards promote business results

The Association for Quality and Participation (AQP) launched its National Team Excellence Award competition in 1985. This competition combines the application of continuous improvement tools, problem solving processes, team dynamics, project management and communication skills in order to generate performance improvements within an organization.
