Article Abstract:

Apple Macintosh, the first widely used personal computer with a graphical user interface missed a chance to create Internet and instead chose to implement a simpler network protocol suitable for connecting only a few dozen office computers and printers. Jef Raskin, the man who designed the Macintosh states the various reasons, due to which the Macintosh could not create Internet.

Plans of the European Organization for Nuclear Research to create a computing grid infrastructure to store data obtained from the Large Hadron Collider instrument is discussed. The instrument will be used in the study of universe.
