The right word: your powerful business development agent

Article Abstract:

Communication has the ability to create or break relationships between contractors and clients. As such, people handling business communications should take particular care in selecting their words. Their aim should always be to be understood clearly by the recipients of their message. While use of jargons is acceptable when communicating with people in the same discipline, it should be avoided when conversing with lay people. Also, it is easier to facilitate understanding through the use of a vivid language.

Listening between the lines

Article Abstract:

Business executives spend the better part of their working day listening to other people. Much of their managerial success depend on their ability to listen, interpret and respond to information they hear. However, most executives are not trained to listen effectively to what others want to say. They have to learn to 'hear between the lines' to get to the real meaning of what the speaker is trying to say. They should also listen to how the speaker phrases comments and responses.

Making an impression that counts

Article Abstract:

Corporate presentations provide firms with the opportunity to impart their distinctive characteristics and leave an impression that would enhance and develop the business. However, effective presentations that appeal to the audience need to follow certain steps. They must not only give information about the company, but must also provide the chance to bond and relate with each person in the audience.
