Tools for apprentices

Article Abstract:

All electrical apprentices are aware from the beginning of their training that they must have their own tools. New apprentices are provided with a JTL list itemising the basic tools they are required to have, although some employers will give their apprentices tool kits when they first start work, which they have to pay for on an instalment basis. In the East Midlands region of the Electrical Contractors Association, many mid-size employers are providing their apprentices with a basic toolkit, because members feel that apprentices need to have the right number of good quality tools for the job.
