Rethinking traditional quality assurance

Article Abstract:

Traditional quality assurance will undergo a revolutionary change as organizations switch from mass production to mass customization. The new approach equates quality with integrity and proposes empowerment of workers to achieve quality goals. Managers and employees should work in teams to produce products that satisfy the customers. Organizations will have to change their culture as their goal should be customer satisfaction rather than conformance.
