Article Abstract:

Different correlations between foliar chemical parameters and environmental conditions such as traffic density, industry types, position, treeless condition and topographic level existed when samples of Ligustrum lucidum Ait. were subjected to the atmospheric pollutants in Cordoba City, Argentina. Parameters such as sulphur content, Specific Leaf Area, hydroperoxy conjugated dienes, proteins, and chlorophyll a and b when combined may obtain a general index of air pollution.

Runoff curve numbers for small grain under German cropping conditions

Article Abstract:

Large discrepancies in the relative values of the SCS Curve Number (CN) model and measured CNs are evident in computing the runoff volumes in small catchment areas. Tests of the CN model conducted under German cropping conditions using artificial rain reveals extensive predictive errors based on a narrow definition of hydrologic soil groups. A new formula based on measured crop cover is suggested for enhancing the accuracy of runoff depth predictions.
