Forest resources and management in China: problems and proposals

Article Abstract:

China's policies for forest management and natural resources should incorporate stronger environmental protection provisions. The country's emphasis on development has resulted in ecological degradation, including soil erosion and accompanying events such as sandstorms and flooding. Proper forest management can help control these negative impacts, preventing costly degradation repair and in turn improving the economy.
