Inverse modeling of chlorine concentration in pipe networks under dynamic condition

Article Abstract:

Estimating the source chlorine concentration is another application of the inverse method providing for an acceptable level of chlorine in the Water Distribution Network. The solution to the problem consists of two stages. Obtaining the hydraulic network of the network is the first stage. The second stage is computing the chlorine concentrations using the inverse method. It is essential that the Courant number be kept nearer to unity to lessen errors in the dynamic flow analysis.

Reliability analysis of water-distribution systems

Article Abstract:

A study presented a comprehensive reliability analysis of a water-distribution system (WDS). Research work has directed much attention to the reliability analysis of a WDS, but a major communication barrier appears to exist between researchers and the field engineers seeking to implement the results of the research. Extended period simulation was used in the study when pipeline failure arises and was analyzed by failing an isolated network pipeline.
