Modelling vegetation succession after bracken control

Article Abstract:

Re-vegetation after bracken control is a process model in the British Isles, which considers space available for plant growth, quantity of bracken litter, plant life history and growth of colonization plants, seed production, survival and site management in assessing the nature of vegetation post-bracken control. This model is versatile in selecting appropriate locations for weeding-out bracken and in aiding the growth of vegetation.

Modelling trends in woody vegetation structure in semi-arid Australia as determined from aerial photography

Article Abstract:

The technique presented is a healthy means to account for the above-ground woody component of woodlands and open forests and will contribute to a broader understanding of savanna dynamics. It is stated that this technique can be robustly applied to auditing carbon stocks.

Describing vegetation succession after bracken control: Evaluation of the REBRA model

Article Abstract:

The issues surrounding bracken control and use of Revegetation after Bracken Control Model for predictions on vegetation recovery are considered. Cutting and spraying methods of control and subsequent revegetation are examined at the test site in East Anglia.
