Amphipod crustacean size spectra: New insights in the relationship between size and oxygen

Article Abstract:

The effect of oxygen on 15 size spectra worldwide, established by compiling maximum length data of more than 2000 amphipod species is investigated. Data indicate that there is a small, but significant increase in minimum amphipod size with increasing oxygen.

Fig choice by the pollinator of a gynodioecious fig: selection to rush, or intersexual mimicry?

Article Abstract:

The fig choice in Liporrhopalum tentacularis, pollinator of Ficus montana, is investigated. Wasps that is unable to discriminate between the sexes because of the selection for inter-sexual fig mimicry is suggested.
