Cytochrome P450 2C is an EDHF synthase in coronary arteries
Article Abstract:
It has been established that endothelial 11,12-epoxyeicosatrienoic acid production and endothelium-derived hyperpolarizing factor (EDHF)-mediated hyperpolarization and relaxation in porcine coronary arteries can be selectively modulated by changing the expression and activity of cytochrome P450 (CYP) 2C8/34. Transfection of coronary arteries with CYP 2C8/34 antisense oligonucleotides leads to lower levels of CYP 2C and attenuates EDHF-mediated vascular responses. It is clear that a CYP-epoxygenase product is a vital element of EDHF-mediated relaxation in the porcine coronary artery.

Resistant strains of microorganisms
Article Abstract:
The ability of microorganisms to resist antibiotics is a natural process. One way to keep bacteria from becoming resistant to antibiotics is to encourage physicians, the pharmaceutical industry, the government and the public to cooperate in using antibiotics only when necessary.

Project Phoenix
Article Abstract:
Project Phoenix was designed to stop global warming by removing and preventing the release of carbon dioxide into the air. The project hopes to accomplish this through space-based solar energy, generating forests in dry lands and a mangrove forest in the middle of the ocean.
