The application of satellite remote sensing to coastal management in Singapore

Article Abstract:

Analysis suggests that satellite remote sensing is a valid component of coastal zone management, using data obtained from its use in Singapore. Topics include water quality monitoring, oil spill detection, marine habitat mapping and ship-wake effects; it is recommended that satellite remote sensing applications be focused toward sustainable development of Singapore's resources.
