The missing dimension

Article Abstract:

Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML) will transform the World Wide Web into a three-dimensional medium. VRML enables architects and designers to build virtual environments, which can be accessed from anywhere. The language works in a similar way as HyperText Modeling Language. VRML was developed in 1994 by Gavin Bell of Silicon Graphics and a group of other developers linked by an Internet mailing list. VRML sites are increasingly being added to the Web. A note on the various sites for virtual reality spots are presented.

Ban on animal tissue for cattle feed proposed

Article Abstract:

The US Food and Drug Administration has proposed prohibiting the use of ruminant and mink tissue in ruminant feeds as a precautionary measure against the potential risk of Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy and Creutzfelt-Jakob Disease. The proposal may lead to a mandatory ban on the use of ruminant tissues in the manufacture of feeds. Although the US livestock industry supports the ban, it may have to find new sources of protein. The ban may also have an adverse impact on the rendering industry.
