House panel moves EPA spending bill with $7.15 billion for agency

The House Appropriations Committee has passed a measure that will give EPA programs $7.15 billion during FY 2001. The package will fund most EPA programs, including providing money for states to enhance their clean water infrastructures.

Bipartisan senate brownfields bill gives funding, finality to states

A new, bipartisan brownfields bill has been disclosed that will give states the ultimate authority to supervise brownfields cleanups and that will limit liability under Superfund rules for developers decontaminating these sites.
