New fleet for Lincolnshire

Article Abstract:

The frontline fleet of fire appliances of the Lincolnchire Fire and Rescue Service is being reconditioned as part of the two-stage modernization project of the Service. The first phase includes the replacement of older pumping appliances, while the second stage is the rolling-out of 33 new fire appliances. Details of the design of the refurbished and new firefighting vehicles and equipment are provided.

Earth first foam

Article Abstract:

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service firefighters are to use a more environment-friendly type of foam, with the Solberg Scandinavian Arctic Re-heating Foam to be delivered to the UK for the service's 25 stations. The benefits on the use of this foam are discussed in relation to the environmental concerns.

New appliances for Notts firefighters

Article Abstract:

The Nottingham Fire and Rescue Service acquired eight Scania P270 fire appliances. The acquisition is part of a 5 million pounds sterling investment in equipment within a three-year timeframe. The new appliance's features include two 90-meter hose reels, a 1,700-liter water tank and a 100-liter foam tank.
