Odor management strategy meets Neighbor approval

Article Abstract:

The Central Davis Sewer District (CDSD) in Kaysville, near Lake City-has a 9.9 MGD wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) with actual flows closer to 5.5 MGD uses oxidation ditch aerobic treatment and trickling filters with anaerobic digestion. Waste water treatment plant (WWTP) overseen by the officials of the governing believes they were there first and neighbors who move in should tolerate odors because they knew the plant was there when they built or purchased their homes.

New uses for fish gurry is found while easing the load on wastewater treatment plants and landfills with a regional approach in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Sustainable Greater New Bedford (SGNB), a new committee on job creation and economic growth, aimed to increase economic development in the region through transformation of waste streams into business opportunities and jobs.

Wastewater treatment plant builds profit center from anaerobic digestion

Article Abstract:

The Deer Island Treatment Plant (DITP) in Boston leverages biosolids programs to achieve renewable energy goals through creative management of digesters and annual operating budget. There are 12 egg-shaped digesters generating over 160,000 cubic feet/hour of gas, with a value of 6.5 million gallons of fuel oil a year.
