Trading carbon credits for methane recovery

Article Abstract:

A Pennsylvania-based company Environmental Credit Corp. partners with farmers and waste managers to implement projects to capture or destroy methane, and then sell the carbon credits created on the Chicago Climate Exchange. Carbon credit trading is believed to be the fastest, lowest cost way to solve environmental problems associated with greenhouse gases.

Backyard composting developments

Article Abstract:

The various ways in which backyard composting is promoted by the Cooperative Extension Service in most states through Master Gardener, Composter or Waste Manager Programs are described. Composting Managers are partnering with watershed and water runoff administrators to help safeguard the fragile ecosystem.
