A fight for rights

Article Abstract:

The Mexican American legal defence and industrial fund's (MALDEF) new leader Ann Marie Tallman set sights on boosting advances on the economic frontlines. MALDEF's casework has opened political opportunities to Hispanics by forcing authorities to redraw political boundaries to ensure equity for Hispanic voters by revising at large voting systems that essentially had kept Hispanics from holding office.
