Article Abstract:

The rising influence and affluence of Hispanic executives has encouraged the magazine publishers to ramp up their efforts to reach the Hispanic professional community. The increase in the publishing activity started in 2004 when the advertising revenue for Hispanic magazines increased by 16% in 2003 and the key to growth of Hispanic publishing is to maintain a certain level of independence and journalistic integrity.

The number of Hispanic radio stations in the United States has grown from 302 to 598 from the year 1998 to 2003 and draws more than 11 percent of all adult listeners. A brief review on the efforts and plans of the Hispanic radio companies to explore new territories with an aim to strengthen their positions in the market is presented.
