Indonesia from within and without: and whither?

Article Abstract:

There is great geographical, geological, linguistic and cultural diversity in Indonesia. This diversity is one reason for the Indonesian fear of separatism and for the Indonesians' strong commitment to nation-building. The Indonesian economy is ripe for new investment, but it is extremely difficult to undertake pricing and value calculations while Indonesia continues to experience unpredictable exchange rate movements. It is impossible to assess the risks of investing in Indonesia, but foreign investment is one of the country's most significant economic requirements.
