Politically charged: For Patricia Madrid, it has always been about being an advocate and winning - with no ceiling acknowledged

Article Abstract:

New Mexico Attorney General Patricia Madrid is the first woman elected as a district court judge in New Mexico, the first Hispanic woman Attorney General, managing other 150 attorneys and a $12 million budget. Under the state law, Madrid is prevented from seeking another term as attorney general, but she is likely to be the first-ever Hispanic woman to be a member of the Congress from the state of New Mexico, with her announcement of running as a Democrat to continue working on the issues that matter to her.
