A love of music and wine: Toshiko Akiyoshi is the only Japanese woman ever to lead a successful jazz band in this country

Article Abstract:

Akiyoshi's family drank wine in Japan, and later in Paris she became even more interested in wine. In 1972 she and her saxophonist husband Lew Tabackin, returned to the US where he played for the 'Tonight Show' band. The jazz pianist has a cellar in her NY, NY home that has 4,000 bottles.

Good crystal is available in all price ranges, and glassware described here is grouped into the under $15 range and categories above that. Riedel Ouverture glasses are the best inexpensive ones. Caring for glassware and health aspects of lead in crystal is also discussed.
