In April 1996, there was an unprecedented amount of interest in the 1995 Bordeaux wines which would not be bottled for another 14-18 months. Wine tasters who spent a week tasting the 1995 vintage are very enthusiastic and believe that in 2000, it will be highly priced. Futures can now be bought.

Guerard's estate, Le Chateau de Bachen, in Gascony, is a health spa, restaurant, and first-rate winery. Guerard is known for his low-calorie gourmet meals. The Michelin guide gave it a three-star rating, and guests have a choice between traditional gourmet or low-calorie meals.

Bordeaux estate gets serious about white

Article Abstract:

Pape-Clement produced very little dry white wine in the past, but the estate has planted several new acres and plans to release approximately 650 cases of white per year in the future. A 1992 vintage will sell for $35 to $45 per bottle.
