Holiday magic at Mouton

Article Abstract:

A couple visiting the Bordeaux wine region in 1989 were surprised to find many of the wineries closed for the holidays. They stumbled onto an event at Mouton and were surprised to discovered they had crashed a private party. They were received warmly.

In deepest Beaujolais

A description of the wine and culture of the French wine district of Beaujolais in 1954 is described by a journalist who visited then. France had 200,000 cafes at the time, where the French consumed much wine. Several local characters are discussed.

Wanted: the perfect Camembert
