Kellogg reports improved Q2 profits

Kellogg Co reports a 7.7 percent increase in net profits for its second quarter, to US$154.2 million. The company is now focusing primarily on achieving solid growth in major cereal markets as well as higher growth in convenience foods and the Latin American and Asia-Pacific cereal businesses. A detailed table of the company's financial results is presented.

Cereal Partners venture shakes up Kellogg's

Cereal Partners Deutschland (CPD), which is a joint venture between Nestle of Switzerland and General Mills of the US, has seen turnover increased to 100 million Deutsche marks in two years, making it a serious rival to Kelloggs. CPD has gained 12% of the market, while Kelloggs has 53%. It distributes its products through Nestle Chocoladen GmbH.
