Napa Valley's rock 'n' roll vintners

Article Abstract:

Three well-known Sonoma County vintners and three wine professionals have formed a rock band known as Private Reserve. The group is composed of consultant John Hawkins, Martini vintner Mike Martini, Lawyer Steve Buehl, Ferrari-Carano's George Bursick, salesman Pat Heck and Beringer Winemaker Ed Sbragia.

Oregon Pinot Noir attracts more and more California vintners

Article Abstract:

California winemakers such as the Benziger family, the Pine Ridge Winery's Gary Andrus and Ronni and Bernard Lacroute. These vintners now have wineries in Oregon's Willamette Valley, where good Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris wines are being made.
