New faces in Champagne: meet the people behind four of the best Champagnes new to the United States

Article Abstract:

Four Champagne vintners whose products are new to the US market are profiled. Champagne Montaudon is run by Luc Montaudon since 1981. Montaudon embraces modern techniques while retaining a human touch. The vineyards of Champagne Drappier has been owned by the Drappier family since the 17th century. They use as little sulfur as is possible in their Champagne. Champagne Fleury Pere & Fils is run by Jean-Pierre Fleury who endorses an biodynamic approach to growing grapes. Champagne Henri Germain holds many quality vineyards

Drinks such as Chartreuse, Benedictine, Galliano and Liquore Strega are herbal liqueurs. Irish Cream and other creams and coffees, fruit liqueurs, orange drinks such as Grand Marnier and Cointreau, and other spirits are also discussed.
