Oil, water and wine

Article Abstract:

Entrepreneur Bill Koch, who built his business on oil and spent a large part of it sailing the oceans for the America's Cup, is a passionate wine collector. A description of the wine cellar in Koch's Florida home, constructed by Austrian architect Friedrich Gruber entirely with materials salvaged from demolished buildings in Vienna, is presented.

Good times roll again in 2003: charity wine auctions rebound after a brief slump

Article Abstract:

The ten top auctions monitored by Wine Spectator brought in a combined $16,747,940 through the sale of live auction lots, representing an increase of almost $3.5 million from 2002. In 2003, it received results from 56 auctions, down from 64 in 2002.
