Second single-cellar sale proves twice as nice

Article Abstract:

A sole, meticulous collector from the West Coast, known for his discriminating taste and being a moralist for provenance, sold more than $10.6 million worth of wine in January 2006 at an Acker Merrall & Condit auction. In October 2006, more than 2,200 lots from the same cellar of the collector were sold for an astounding $24.7 million, breaking the world record set by the $14.4 million worth Sotheby's 'Millennium sale' in November 1999.

The long march to quality

Article Abstract:

Contributions made by employees of Huadong Winery, Grace Vineyard, Suntime winery, and Jean Goerges in the different wineries are presented. The western style management method implemented by the vice general manager Liu Hong Mei of Huadong and marketing strategies adopted by Yang Huafeng of Suntime Winery are some of them.

Finding time for good wine: Handel Lee builds on of Beijing's premier cellars

A Chinese-American lawyer and wine lover practicing in Beijing possesses a blue-ribbon collection of fine wine. He builds his wine collection with a special interest in California wines, and has a custom-built 600-square-foot wine cellar with specially built recesses designed to hold 4,500 bottles.
