Special interest video and health food

Article Abstract:

Living Arts of Santa Monica, CA, produces several special interest videos on yoga, massage, relaxation and Tai Chi which are being marketed through a tie-up with the health and nutrition marketing programs of grocery retailers. The videos are directed to selective shoppers concerned with their eating habits and are more likely to buy organic produce, vitamin supplements and other health foods. Such activities as yoga and meditation fit into their concept of whole health not only for their bodies but for their minds as well. Steve Adams, president of Living Arts, reports that sales of the special interest videos through grocery outlets have been successful.

Creating a cool display

Article Abstract:

University of Illinois Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering's researchers have found out that secondary cooling, which requires the use of a liquid refrigerant, can increase energy efficiency, reduce refrigerant leaking as well as enable retailers to use a centralized refrigeration unit that is less expensive to operate. The research suggests that supermarkets can reduce their contribution to ozone depletion while improving energy efficiency as well as meet requirements for leak reduction as projected by continuing research.
