Syrah arrives in California

Article Abstract:

Several California wineries have turned their attention to Syrah, a French varietal wine that is growing in popularity. The grape is a classic of the Rhone Valley, and is the most widely planted grape in Australia. Qupe, Zaca Mesa, Eberle are some California wineries producing fine Syrahs. It took some years for vintners to get the desired result from their grapes, but now there are numerous good, affordable Syrahs on the market. A list of the 15 best Syrah values is included.
