The premier grand cru Chateau Cheval Blanc is a popular collector's item that still tastes young today. It sells well at auctions, and many top vintners list it as their favorite wine. It sells from approximately $700 to $950 a bottle.

Foreign winemaking students enjoy their internships at California wineries. A program called Communicating for Agriculture assists these young people in finding jobs that give them first-hand experience at making wine.
