Top chefs help cook up $228,469 to fight hunger

Top chefs such as Citronelle's Michel Richard from Washington, D.C., New York's Dan Barber of Blue Hill and Andrew Carmellini of A Voce helped prepare a six-course menu at the 13th annual Share Our Strength Autumn Harvest Dinner, held at Manhattan's Eleven Madison Park on September 17, 2006. The live auction for charity during the dinner collected $16,700, contributing to the total of $228,469 for the organization's programs to fight hunger.

Yes we cancan: Charity auction spotlights Washington wines

The 19th year charity auction, Auction of Washington Wines conducted on August 19, 2006 in Woodinville, Washington helped raise $1.9 million for uncompensated medical care at Seattle's Children's Hospital & Regional Medical Center and for the Washington Wine Education Foundation. Three days of celebrations included winemaker dinners and auction of special releases from Washington wineries like Col Solare and Leonetti Cellar.
