What would you think if ...?

Article Abstract:

Professional wine tasters and reviewers are unavoidably influenced by a vineyard's or producer's pedigree, especially when tasting expensive and acclaimed wines. If they tasted wine with no knowledge of its reputation, their opinions might be quite different and more critical. All wine tasters and wine lovers should trust their own opinion of a wine, regardless of a wine's reputation.

Questions worth asking

Article Abstract:

A personal narrative is presented of an expert in wine, describing the detailed questions asked by non-professionals at tastings. There are certain questions which knowledgeable tasters should ask, yet these need to be placed and answers evaluated in the full context of the wine.

When good wines say good-bye

Article Abstract:

Wine sometimes ages beyond the point where it is truly drinkable. Collectors may be reluctant to admit this to themselves or others, but when one has to stretch oneself to recall a wine's prime it means that wine is dead. Cold wine cellars help preserve the fruit of older wine.
