Children enjoy holiday traditions, and good recipes for a family Halloween meal include baked butternut squash, meat loaf and a Wensley cake, which is made with Wensley cheese. The cake contains raisins, apple and currants and improves upon storing.

Chutney is a good food for people with not much kitchen experience to try to make because it does not require exact quantities of ingredients, is fairly easy to make and is hard to mess up. Included is a recipe for lemon chutney.
