Article Abstract:

Many small wineries consolidated with larger groups in 1992, which caused the lowering of prices. The reduction of independent companies will eventually cause dominance, higher prices and less choices for the consumer. Other changes in 1992 were higher emphasis on values, and demand for new blends.

The wines of the sun

Article Abstract:

The production and the consumption of wine are essential activities in Provence. Wines from the region have a strong flavor that reminds one of the sun and the sea and that is a perfect match for the unique cuisine of the region. The different wines from Provence are described.

Article Abstract:

Significant events in the American wine industry during the 20th century are recounted. It was shown how the industry survived and flourished after the repeal of the Eighteenth Amendment that heavily regulated wine production in the 1930s.
