Homebuilding, lumber markets top WWPA issues list

Article Abstract:

Sawmill suppliers should experience increasingly difficult market conditions as homebuilders seek to manage their supply chains. Homebuilders such as Pulte Home Corp are trying to reduce costs through building a relationship with suppliers, bypassing the distributors and dealers who have traditionally supplied building materials to builders. Although home construction companies are experiencing strong demand for their homes, future demand is likely to decline, which would not bode well for suppliers.
