Rick Ankiel's excellent 2000 spectacular rookie season, his high-pressure coach/father, and his 'can't-miss' high-school label seem to weigh upon his composure, and he currently is so wild that his career is threatened. The history of other players who developed throwing phobias is also analyzed.
