North Dakota closes loophole with PRIDE

North Dakota's Parental Responsibility Initiative for the Development of Employment (PRIDE) program is discussed. The program aims to connect employment help services to parents who are not paying their child support. It involves case management skills, supportive services, and job skills improvement services to help parents improve employment.

Paving the way

Article Abstract:

The partnership of U.S. states with the private sector in funding for transportation projects is discussed. According to the Federal Highway Administration, 22 states and one U.S. territory have passed legislation that will allow deals between private and public entities in financing road projects.

BioTown, USA is model energy program

Article Abstract:

The energy conversion facility of Reynolds, Indiana, is discussed. The facility can convert waste such as hog and cow manure into energy. Reynolds will be called BioTown, USA, and will become the country's first model community that will completely run off biorenewable energy sources.
