Audie Bock, aged 54, former Green Party official, has become an independent candidate for the California Assembly. It seems that she has been advised that it would be better for her to run as an independent than as a Green. Bock claims that she still has progressive values but that she has just changed her political identity. Members of the Green Party believe that Bock left the Greens because of the difficulty of raising campaign funds.
