Article Abstract:

Fire escape; Florida wildfires put hospital system's evacuation plan to the test

Article Abstract:

Florida wildfires prompted Memorial Health Systems in Flagler County to organize a massive evacuation plan. The disaster forced the transfer of all patients from a threatened hospital to two of the other Memorial facilities. By maintaining the same patient record system, each of the three hospitals' staff could monitor individual patient needs. Dedicated employees were the key to the successful evacuation.
