Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital

Article Abstract:

Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital of New Brunswick, NJ, recruited advertising agency Winning Strategies of Mount Laurel, NJ, to create its image-building campaign. The hospital would like to be known as an excellent academic medical center. The medical center also wanted to tout its research clout. Its end goal was to foster demand for its services in New Jersey. Winning Strategies positioned the campaign to opinion holders and business leaders. Majority of the target market was made up of females aged 30 years and above. Robert Wood offered an 800 number which gained over 300 telephone calls in response.

Baptist Hospital East

Article Abstract:

Baptist Hospital East of Louisville, KY, hired advertising agency Sheehy & Associates Inc. of Louisville, KY. Sheehy was supposed to inform adults aged 35 years old and above about an alliance between Baptist Hospital and Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center. The two medical facilities joined forces to serve more cancer patients. Sheehy relied on outdoor, radio, television, magazine, and newspaper media to improve public awareness. It is uncertain whether the messages achieved their end goal. The results also have to be measured.

Santa Rosa Health Care, a 1,016-bed hospital and nursing care complex in San Antonio, TX, recruited The Atkins Agency of San Antonio to establish it as a top health care system. At the same time, the medical facility sought to emphasize its commitment to Christian principles. Santa Rosa invested $40,000,000 to guarantee excellent health care for the community. Atkins relied on newspaper spots to deliver those messages to adults aged 25 years and above. Santa Rosa also maintains a Web site at www.santarosahealth.org.
