A matter of enforcement

Article Abstract:

The top 10 OSHA violations during the period from October 1, 2002 to September 30, 2003 are listed. The new entrant to the list is Bloodborne Pathogens standard. Topping the list is the scaffolding/construction standard 1926.451, which recorded 8,804 violations. The top ten monetary penalties imposed by OSHA in fiscal 2003 are also listed.

Casting doubt on carpal tunnel causes

Article Abstract:

Issues are presented concerning the lack of evidence which has emerged in a Mayo Clinic study linking carpal tunnel syndrome with heavy use of computers. The disagreement of Cornell University with the result is discussed.
