G-CSF prevents cardiac remodeling after myocardial infraction by activating the Jak-Stat pathway in cardiomyocytes

Article Abstract:

The molecular mechanisms of how granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) prevents left ventricular remodeling after myocardial infraction are examined. The results show that G-CSF promotes survival of cardiac myocytes and prevents left ventricular remodeling after myocardial infraction through the functional communication between cardiomyocytes and noncardiomyocytes.
